Books for our Community

El Cafecito del Día joined the Fairfax County American Federation of Teachers (AFT) for its books distribution event. We shared a conversation with David Walrod, president of the Fairfax County AFT about how a book distribution event can have a positive impact in the community, specially in Latino students. Additionally, we discussed the backlashes of banning books among our children and how parents can play an active role in encouraging students to read. Full episode available here.
